Aman Essentials Gift Card Terms and Conditions

 

  1. We are Aman Essentials Limited, UK company number 14014395 with registered office at 63 Brook Street, Mayfair, London, United Kingdom, W1K 4HS. We and our subsidiaries are referred to in these Terms and Conditions as “Aman Essentials”, “we”, “our” or “us”. 

  1. Gift Cards are sold and distributed by Big Commerce Inc, a platform that provides the technology to operate our Gift Card offering, however the contract governing the Gift Card is between the purchaser or user of the Gift Card and Aman Essentials. Gift Cards are issued subject to these Terms and Conditions; the purchase or use of a Gift Card constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (which we reserve the right to amend at any time). 

  1. Aman Essentials makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to Gift Cards and disclaims any warranty to the fullest extent available. 

 

Purchasing Gift Cards 

  1. Gift Cards can only be purchased on shop.aman.com (“Website”) and any terms and conditions and policies applicable to use of the Website, including the data policy, apply. 

  1. Payment for Gift Cards is made to Aman Essentials. We reserve the right to refuse to issue a Gift Card, or to cancel a Gift Card once issued, including where inaccurate information is supplied at the time of purchase, payment is declined, or we suspect fraudulent activity.  

  1. Gift Cards are issued in electronic format only. We will send a confirmation email to the email address provided by the purchaser and a Gift Card activation email to the email address indicated by the purchaser as the Gift Card recipient. We are not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable, misdelivered or not received due to inaccurate information provided by purchaser, or that are not activated or used by the recipient. Gift Cards cannot be re-sold.  

  1. Gift Cards are issued in the currency selected by the purchaser, for the value selected by the purchaser. No additional amounts are payable for issuance or maintenance of a Gift Card.  

  1. A personalised message may be added by the purchaser in the relevant field before check out. If we deem any message inappropriate, offensive or otherwise objectionable, the Gift Card may be delayed, held, cancelled or issued without the personalised message, in our sole discretion. We accept no liability for any incorrect spellings or typographical errors made by the purchaser and cannot make changes to messages once you have completed the checkout process. 

  1. All sales of Gift Cards are final. Gift Cards are excluded from a redemption guarantee, are non-replaceable, non-refundable, non-reloadable, non-transferrable, cannot be redeemed for cash (in whole or in part), applied to any credit card balances, used to discharge indebtedness, nor will any change be given. Aman Essentials will not refund or replace, and will not be liable for, any lost, stolen or mis-used Gift Cards. 

 

Using Gift Cards 

  1. Gift Cards are used by [please complete by entering the unique twelve digit code in the Promotional Code field at checkout, which will discount the total Bag amount by the remaining value of the Gift Card. If a purchase exceeds the Gift Card value, the remaining amount must be paid with another method of payment accepted on the Website].  

  1. Gift Cards can only be applied at the time of purchase and not to past purchases.  

  1. Gift Cards can be used in respect of any product available for purchase on the Website other than Gift Cards. The terms and conditions and policies applicable to use of the Website, including the data policy, apply. Gift Cards cannot be used in any other online or offline location, including aman.com and our boutiques. Items purchased using a Gift Card are subject to the same return and exchange policies and terms and conditions of sale as regular purchases on the Website. If an item purchased with a Gift Card is subsequently exchanged for an item of a lower price or returned for a refund, any amount owing will be in the form of a Gift Card with the same expiration date as the Gift Card originally used for the purchase.   

  1. Gift Cards can only be redeemed in the currency they are issued.  Gift Cards can be used in one or more transactions towards goods and shipping costs equivalent to the full-face value of the Gift Card. When purchasing on the Website, import duties and any taxes and charges not itemised are not included in the item price or shipping costs and any such amounts are the purchaser’s responsibility (these amounts cannot be paid with a Gift Card as they will be charged directly to the purchaser by the assessing authority).  

  1. Gift Cards are valid for 24 months from the date of issue and cannot be redeemed beyond that period; any remaining value is forfeited in full. 

  1. We reserve the right to refuse to accept a Gift Card that has been tampered with, duplicated or which otherwise is suspected of being affected by fraud. 

  1. Gift Cards are subject to the laws of England and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes, without regard to principles of conflict of laws.
