Aman Group aims to make its websites user-friendly and accessible.

This statement sets out the accessibility features of our online services with reference to applicable regulations including the European Accessibility Act as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act in the United States and similar regulations elsewhere around the world, and what we are doing to maintain and improve accessibility. It covers the online services we provide including the pathway for making online hotel bookings and product purchases from our websites (“Our Service”).

Aman Group aims to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 accessibility standards as adopted by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium.

Improving accessibility compliance is an ongoing process and we continue to monitor our websites to ensure accessibility.

Compliance with Accessibility Requirements under the European Accessibility Act

The European Accessibility Act requires providers of e-commerce services such as Our Service to maximise their foreseeable use by persons with disabilities. We have assessed Our Service against the accessibility requirements in that law by conforming and testing Our Service to WCAG 2.0 standard, including using Acquia Optimize:

  • Perceivable: This means that information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive. Our Service provides options for users to perceive content in several ways, including text alternatives for non-text content. All images, icons, and media have descriptive alt text or labels. We maintain a logical structure with headings and lists so that screen reader users can navigate effectively. Content is adaptable; you can customize text size and the interface remains usable.
  • Operable: This means that user interface components and navigation must be operable. Our Service is available through keyboard and not just by mouse. Standard shortcuts (like arrow keys in dropdown menus) are enabled.
  • Understandable: This means that information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable. Our Service uses clear, simple language to ensure our content and instructions and error messages are sensible, obvious and straightforward.
  • Robust: This means that content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents. We build and test our platforms for Our Service to ensure they work well with a range of browsers. Our websites are coded to follow best practices outlined in WCAG 2.0.

We aim to provide any additional support, description or explanation necessary for you to operate Our Service smoothly. If you discover any unexpected gaps while using Our Service, please contact us through the methods set out in the Contact Information section below.

Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of Our Service

  • We and our third-party website service providers regularly conduct testing, maintenance and monitoring and/or accessibility audits (using Acquia Optimize and otherwise) aiming for continuing conformity of Our Service with WCAG 2.0 standards. For these tests and assessments, we use a combination of static analysis tools and manual testing.
  • We work with third party service providers on the development of our websites who use developer tools that incorporate accessible design.
  • We encourage users to report problems (please refer to the Contact Information section below). When we receive an accessibility-related request, complaint or recommendation, we log and action these internally with our third-party website service providers.
  • We monitor updates to standards and regulations and evolving assistive technology patterns and consider those in our design updates.
